Tootsie is a musical comedy based on the 1982 film of the same name. It follows struggling actor Michael Dorsey, who disguises himself as a woman to land a role and unexpectedly becomes a star. As his new persona “Dorothy Michaels” gains fame, Michael must navigate the complications of living a double life. With a score by David Yazbek and a book by Robert Horn, Tootsie premiered on Broadway in 2019 and won the Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical.
